In 2017, Roleystone Organic Grower’s celebrated their 25th Anniversary. Roley OGA had their first meeting on March 11th, 1992. Kathy Moore started the local group when she realized that with a young family traveling to Wembley for Organic Growers meetings was going to be too far to travel. A few years later, Lisa Porter and Viv Keelty took over the organization. With the help of the local papers, we were able to get the word out and the group has been thriving ever since the early 90’s.

Monthly meetings are from March-October.

We have workshops, guest speakers, and field days where we visit organic gardens.

At our meetings you will find a local non-hybrid seed bank, library and lots of friendly people-some are beginner growers and some are experienced.

Recent topics have been reticulation, biosecurity, seed saving and storage, an edible weed walk, tool care, and solar battery storage, to name a few.

Meetings are held at the :

Roleystone Family Centre, Wygonda Rd,  Roleystone

on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm.

If we have field days, they are usually on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

All are welcome! Entry is $3 and that will even give you a cuppa and a bickie afterward!

For more information or to be placed on our email list, contact Lisa Porter   Phone: 9399 2312

We look forward to seeing you!
