WORKSHOP Organic Certification

$268Whole day workshop focusing on organic certification for small and local producers, growers and value-adding suppliers.
You will learn how to develop your own road map for organic certification.
At the end of the workshop you will have a written plan for your own vision, supply chain options and networking opportunities with like-minded people. You will also be better informed about food production and supply chains and be confident and prepared to apply for organic certification.
Trainer: Kathleen Purvis (aka Kathe Purvis)
Australian-based trainer, facilitator and auditor for organic, ethical and environmental standards. Kathe is a slow food practitioner growing her own food in a sustainable urban farming system.
She has twenty years plus training and experience in organic certification – USDA NOP, EU, JAS, Korea, Australian and Pacific Organic standards, Freshcare, Flocert & FairTSA Fairtrade.
Tertiary Certificates: IV – Business, V – Training Design, Development & Delivery.
Kathe has spent most of her life in rural communities, working in agriculture and horticulture, gaining experience then developing and working her own commercial market garden.
Sustainable farming and best practice environmental management are key drivers.
Kathe has worked internationally as a contract auditor/trainer for twenty years, mostly in the Asia Pacific region, learning from many different cultures and communities over time.
